So there is a law requiring workers to join a union and pay dues. Isn't there some irony in the fact that unions were formed to protect workers from being forced to do things against their will . . . and now unions are forcing workers to join the union against their will? It’s understandable that the unions would fight against the repeal of this law. This law is the best thing that could ever happen to any group. Could you imagine if the government forced people to join your church and forced them to put money in the basket every Sunday?
