A low-pressure system is expected to strengthen in the southern Plains region on Monday and start heading toward the upper Midwest Tuesday and Wednesday, pulling moisture into the area. The surge of moisture and low pressure is forecast to bring wet weather as early as Monday night and throughout Tuesday and Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. Thunderstorms are possible Tuesday and Tuesday night.
